It’s an experience three women and two other friends in Stateline on vacation were not expecting to go through, an Airbnb nightmare.
Nicole Sebastian of Vacaville, California says a trip to the south shore of Lake Tahoe was meant to calm, peaceful and happy.
“I haven’t seen my sister in a long time and she hasn’t been home in three years,” said Sebastian.
But the Sebastian and her fraternal twin sister Jamie Steen and their friend Alexandra Zahedi say that didn’t happen.
“I was shocked,” said Sebastian.
“It was horrendous,” said Zahedi.
Sebastian says the ordeal started when they arrived at Stateline to celebrate her and her sister’s 25th birthday.
“We were all happy and really excited. Everything that transpired as soon as we stepped on these ground, it has just been a horrible experience,” said Sebastian.
The women said when they walked into the condo, the floor was covered in dirt, and the bed had urine stains and easily identifiable bodily fluids.
They also went onto to claim, feminine products in the bathroom caused odor and the bath tub drain was clogged with filthy hair.
“It was one of those situations that hurts your heart a little bit because this was supposed to be something special,” said Sebastian
The women said they contacted Airbnb representatives and a person in charge of the Ridge Sierra located near Nevada’s side of Heavenly nearly 15 times, but nothing happened.
“I was snapped at, I was given sarcastic tones, I was hung up on,” said Sebastian.
Just when Sebastian thought things were on the up and up, there was another problem.
“I got to the other condo and I open the door and I actually walk in on a couple having sex on the couch,” said Sebastian.
She says she doesn’t know what she could have done differently, but hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
“As far a planning, I booked ahead of time, I spoke to the host, I got here on time, I gave them the appropriate time to clean the room,” said Sebastian.
Airbnb representatives tell KOLO 8 News Now, they will be refunding the women for the two nights they asked for.
