LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
The City of Las Vegas is the only area in Clark County that allows short-term rentals like Airbnb.
On Tuesday, Oct. 9, this could change.
The Planning Commission will be taking a look at a proposed ordinance to ban short-term rentals altogether.
As of now, this type of rental is legal only if the owner holds the right city permits.
The proposal may allow anyone with a proper permit to be grandfathered in.
There are currently 161 active permits, though the number of short-term rentals is unknown.
